Dental fillings are a procedure that we perform several times per day. They are quite predictable to complete as a routine procedure. To ensure your comfort, we will use local anaesthetic to numb the tooth and the area around it so that you feel no more than a light pressure. The decayed portion of the tooth is then removed.

The void will then be smoothed out and a bonding agent will be applied to help create a tight seal with the composite. Finally, the filling material is shaped and cured under UV light. You must refrain from eating on that side of your mouth until the anaesthetic wears off (usually within a few hours).
